#06- About Government & Regulation vs. LOVE & Freedom

Circumstances of the past always effect the present, but the mind and heart of each individual is not their parents or their grandparents. Mr. Means fighting for native American rights tried to share his life of meaning and value for his people and for the world in which he lived. He did more than speak out about his people, according to the multiple comments at Russell Means Freedom website. “His value for the Native American people and their own history was aptly demonstrated with a principle goal[with] the establishment of a “Total Immersion School”, [PDF Link for T.R.E.A.T.Y. Strategic Planning Power Point Download] . . . , where children are immersed in the language, culture, science, music and storytelling of their own people.

His death on October 22, 2012 limited his fight for his people, but Rhapsodie sees more need in following the established principles of LOVE based on freedom that’s already been shared with the “Constitution of the United States” without any alterations that aren’t original amendments but are, in her opinion, most probably “changed for light and transient [not needs, just passing by, not remaining] causes.” [Declaration of Independence, 1976]

The Health Care Law recently instituted can be viewed as good and bad by different people depending on their lives and their situations. But Rhapsodie as an American, diabetic since the age of five finds that the freedom lost with the money being taken to care for a nation of people is just as bad as the financial control of other nations on states of the United States during the time of the “Articles of Confederation.

Comparison of the actions of the U.S. government with the Native American people was originally organized because they were to be nation states within the United States, but the government continues to alter and change, research on Mr. Means website caused me to question the reason people would stay in areas like the Lakota reservations. More research adds value to the facts located at BIA.gov:

  • From 1778 to 1871, the United States’ relations with individual American Indian nations indigenous to what is now the U.S. were defined and conducted largely through the treaty-making process.
    • These “contracts among nations” recognized and established unique sets of rights, benefits, and conditions for the treaty-making tribes who agreed to cede of millions of acres of their homelands to the United States and accept its protection. 
  • Like other treaty obligations of the United States, Indian treaties are considered to be “the supreme law of the land,” and they are the foundation upon which federal Indian law and the federal Indian trust relationship is based. [ . . . .T]here is no single federal or tribal criterion or standard that establishes a person’s identity as American Indian or Alaska Native.
  • The rights, protections, and services provided by the United States to individual American Indians and Alaska Natives flow not from a person’s identity as such in an ethnological sense, but because he or she is a member of a federally recognized.

When you think of government what are you thinking of? Is it the laws, the regulations, the ordinances or is it the people with titles in positions of power? Government is a combination of all things controlling or governing a people. And the writers of the Articles of Confederation showed this.

What are the Articles of Confederation?

After considerable debate and alteration, the Articles of Confederation were adopted by the Continental Congress on November 15, 1777. This document served as the United States’ first constitution, and was in force from March 1, 1781, until 1789 when the present day Constitution went into effect.

What do these say of value for our consideration, we have a different constitution? A summary from Our Documents.gov shares a summary of problem focus for this government document:

The Dickinson Draft of the Articles of Confederation named the Confederation “the United States of America,” provided for a Congress with representation based on population, and gave to the national government all powers not designated to the states. . . . In this “first constitution of the United States” each state retained “every Power…which is not by this confederation expressly delegated to the United States,” and each state had one vote in Congress. Instead of forming a strong national government, the states entered into “…a firm league of friendship with each other…”

The Articles of Confederation failed to a small degree, the States freedom “allowed space for attack by foreign powers through attributed financial weaknesses, increased with extra-ordinate loan interest rates with funds shared by foreign governments with individual States, and increasingly greater population growth” which effected federal government power among the nations in the world. [Dr. Colomaio, 2013] The control of funds by people or nations affects the value of other people or nations. While the actions of European Americans towards the Native Americans happened because of selfish pride, which is a fault of any who don’t practice Godly LOVE. People in power often fail to remember their responsibility towards others because of the large extent of privileges they have gained. Some of these people act with the best of intentions, but find that with time their great intentions are twisted.

#3- About Government & Regulation vs. LOVE & Freedom

A government in accord with the statements made in the “Declaration of Independence and Patrick Henry’s words was to be a government of representation for the people, by the people not a government of money and power for those with money and power, at least that’s Rhapsodie’s interpretation from reading that document. But there was another factor; it was to be a government where God was used in interpreting the destiny of the country and its people. In fact the following sections of the “Declaration of Independence” support Rhapsodie’s suppositions:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. —That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, . . . Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient [not needs, just passing by, not remaining] causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them [the people] under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

This was the mind of people declaring independence from England. I so wish the people of the U.S. valued their history and the freedom’s they should still have enough to keep our government from changing laws, ordinances, and policies for “light and transient causes.” The alteration of regulation in regards to the proper political feeling is not necessarily good. People interpret the “Declaration of Independence‘s” words differently, and that’s okay as long as they take the time to also question your & their individual interpretations.

So let me ask you this.

Freedom requires work to maintain, work to uphold, and work to stay free while others want to suffer being made slaves for the minimal amount of value slavery gives. Wait, is Rhapsodie saying that there was value in slavery? NO THERE IS ONLY A MINIMIZATION OF RESPONSIBILITY and less control over the privileges freedom with responsibility allows. For every privilege there is responsibility.

Patrick Henry, on March 23, 1775 shared the words now recorded as “Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Death states that the reason he believes in the fight for freedom:

We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts. Is this the part of wise men, engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty? Are we disposed to be of the number of those who, having eyes, see not, and, having ears, hear not, the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation? For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it.

I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience. I know of no way of judging of the future but by the past. And judging by the past, I wish to know what there has been in the conduct of the British ministry for the last ten years to justify those hopes with which gentlemen have been pleased to solace themselves and the House.

His compilation of historical facts based on life in America before the revolutionary war helped incite many more people to battle for as Mr. Henry stated, “There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations, and who will raise up friends to fight our battles for us. The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave. Besides, sir, we have no election.”

There are too many historical interpretations to believe them all. There are too many scientific theories translated as fact to believe them all also. Some scientific theories have been tested enough to determine that they are in fact more fact than theory, for instance chemical constructions of materials like oxygen and helium. But there are other theories like carbon dating, which are not shown to be fact, there are occasions when the supposed carbon dating was actually proven to be false. So, the words of Joseph to Pharaoh in accord with interpreting Pharaoh’s dreams are prosaic for us, “Do not ALL INTERPRETATIONS, belong to God?” (The Bible, Genesis)

History provides examples for life experience examining the past usually proves the value of LOVE knowing interpretations. The “Constitution of the United States was redefined in accord with experience, the “Declaration of Independence was written because of experience and need of the people, as far as they saw.

We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote [get behind, boost, not make] the general welfare, and secure [fortify, preserve, assure, (Webster’s New World Thesaurus, 1990)]] the blessings of liberty [the rights supposedly natural to man- freedom; independence; power of choice, (Webster’s New World Thesaurus, 1990)] to ourselves and our posterity [our children’s future, our descendant’s future, (Webster’s New World Thesaurus, 1990)], do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Did the people of Europe come because there is a Godly curse that was fulfilled and caused an altering of Native American People’s drive? Did Europe come because the land offered freedom from control of the governments in Europe? Did America become the country it is today, 7-25-2015 because the people forgot their history, forgot to value the freedom, and have dismissed the “Constitution of the US” based on the Iroquois and 5 Nations treaty as unreasonable for the people of the modern era?

Most likely so.

The U.S. citizens of the world are in fact not waking up; they are falling back into lazy habits. Man can look, interpret, and determine but are the assumptions made accurate? The site of one man on the right corner of a car accident is different than the person right next to them, or the person on the left corner. Each person’s interpretations are based on their own view. History is evidence of how interpretations alter understanding. God can define the meaning for all in history, but God can also allow men to interpret and define if so determined.

‘Heaven is for Real’ influences & YOU- #7 of 7

‘More, well what more could you be talking about?’

The time as a door greeter at Walmart led to many conversations, that I think helped contribute to movies that have been produced. The movie Noah,’ ‘Tangled,’ and ‘Heaven is for Real’ are the last three, I think, I influenced.

In fact the woman that mentioned the boy came back to the store with the young man and his mother and I asked him questions, he gave me some vague responses.  And his mother mentioned that he had been drugged quite a bit during the surgery, so the family is not sure the recollections are correct.

But the faith of this one young man and his family have inspired a deeper look at the heavens by our world.

The young man I met was about 8 years old, and that is a little older than the young man described from the book in the movie. Later the pastor who is mentioned as writing the book and I had a conversation.

After informing me that he was just the pastor the young man had requested to share the story he commented on thoughts about the story for the book, and asked me, “Do you think it will be wrong to lie to people about his age?”

In response, to this pastor a customer “who is always right was,” I investigated with, “What do you think?!”

“I’m the minister and guide for my people, but I’m writing this story with the idea that it will become popular. With popularity problems can result!,” was the emphatic response.

His comment caused me to feel that he genuinely cared about this young man and his family. That he was showing fatherly love and consideration, when he was considering age and with this inquiry about age to me.

In response I said, “That’s good to think about, it’s wrong to lie, but it’s also wrong to harm others.  When a general thing like age, is being considered in this situation, harm and cost should also be thought about.  Who may be harmed with this lie?  Who can be harmed without this lie? If you tell the truth, will life be good for this young person in school and for life? Will his family suffer harm after people hear this personal experience? After the story becomes popular, will he be able to keep on learning, or will he be hassled because of his personal experiences? Could it even be better to alter his name, in the book, to protect him from undesirable attention? What is the more loving thing to do?”

“You’re right, I didn’t think of all that,” was his considering response.

“Did this help you make a decision?”

After motioning to the young man he said, “. . . We’ll have to talk this over.”

And I was left to continue sharing with my customers while their conversation took place at a slight distance from me. When they were done the pastor returned and told me of their decision.  Which I’m not sharing here. Because presently the work of this young man, his pastor, his family and other God loving people has brought about more results. The world has available the movie ‘Heaven is for Real’to watch in theaters.

This story should lead others to continue contemplating, looking and reading because a lot can be hidden in the pages of a book.  In fact, I desire everyone to take on the reading of a fictionalized presentation of The Chronicles of Heaven’s War an epic beginning with Sisters of the Bloodwind, because this story has inspired me to share more love with the world.

Your own views are yours and telling you what to think is not my desire, but causing you to think and then act on those thoughts, because they hit your heart through thoughts in your head, is my desire.

Read and see if this doesn’t inspire thee!!!

‘Heaven is for Real’ . . . fictionalized- #6 of 7

A golden blond Jesus with blue-green eyes is shared as one of the people met by a young boy who visits heaven during a near death experience.   ‘Heaven is for Real’ could be fictionalized, but having such a young person affirm this as reality will hopefully open up others hearts and minds to a deeper tale told.

The story I’m talking about is an epic that begins with book 1 in The Chronicles of Heaven’s War: Sisters of the Bloodwind.  This book was originally written under the book title The Chronicles of Heaven’s War: When General’s Cry, and it was originally published in 2003 with the most recent edition being published in eBook format in 2011.  My hope is that the increase in belief of the realities of heaven as portrayed in the movie ‘Heaven is for Real’ will cause people to search for more.

For me this interest started long ago, but the drive to really contemplate God and the heavens came with personal experiences added to with stories told by author Ava D. Dohn.  And that interest added to my conversations with customers while working at Walmart in Hornell, NY .  Before becoming a door greeter I’d been a floor associate, electronics associate, and cashier.  My interactions as a door greeter were done to motivate and inspired other people to grow and gain a desire to know more.

2 Jesus- Mihai- blue green eyes

Not only that I think it inspired movies like ‘Heaven is for Real.’ One of the reasons for this belief is because my love based actions and conversations which caused others to desire to share with the world as I was trying to do.  Experiences during those times at the door specifically lead to the words I’ve shared and am continuing to share about this movie.

Jesus with golden hair is a description talked about in a previous post and beyond that ideas for the film were discussed.  Other posts share some details of those talks.  But things went further once interest was developed and devised.  In fact that man that had conversed with me about Jesus and the golden hair came back in later and asked about Jesus’ eyes.

Well at that time I hadn’t read Sisters of the Bloodwind recently, so I commented, “Blue, no green, blue, oh I can’t remember.  One has blue eyes, one has green eyes.”

He took those words, and imitating my combination of words said, “Blue-green, I like that.”

“Green-blue.  No you’re right blue-green sounds better.”

He stepped back and away a bit and said, “So blue green it is,” and with a turn he walked away as I waved and said goodbye.

But more happened, and that’s why I started this spiel about the movie ‘Heaven is for Real.’
